About Us
Ruth Bell Alexander, Ed.M., the author
of this web page, graduated from the
University of California at Berkeley in 1965. She received her
Masters Degree
in Education from Harvard University in 1967. As a founding member
of the Boston
Women's Health Book Collective, Ruth co-authored the early versions
of Our Bodies,
Ourselves and Ourselves and Our Children. She is
the principal author of Changing
Bodies, Changing Lives and a co-author of Talking With Your
Teenager.
Ruth's two most recent books are about elementary mathematics. Number
Jugglers Math Game Book,
published by Workman Publishing in 1998, and Fraction Jugglers Game
Book (Workman, 2002)
use equation games and fraction games respectively to teach basic math
concepts. Over the past ten
years, Ruth has created more than forty original math games, many of
which are being used in classrooms
throughout the United States and Europe. You can reach her at

Jonah McBride, who
served as the web mentor for this page, graduated from Brown University
in June, 2001 and received his Masters Degreee from Brown the following
year in Electrical Engineering .
His superb technical assistance was critical to the creation
of this site.

adaptation of The Number Ladder Game from print to cyberactivity.
Deborah Zemke is the illustrator for Number
Jugglers Math Game Book.
Her work appears on several pages in this site. She has illustrated
over thirty
books for children and adults, including picture books, activity books,
cookbooks,
and business guides. She is a frequent contributer to Ranger
Rick Magazine and
the designer of two illustration fonts for the International Typeface
Corporation
(itcfonts.com). She also has work displayed at stockart.com.
